Wha- What is this? Has hell frozen over? 4 posts in one month? Yeah well, I am trying my best to keep myself organized even if just for a bit.
As I have mentioned, I have been doing a lot of early shifts - which has fucked up (pardon my french) my sleeping schedule but oh well - and that leaves me with a lot of free time to think and actually use the rest of my day to do productive things.
For this reason, I was cleaning up my inbox (which had almost 2k emails) and I saw one email that stood out. Allow me to explain this from the actual beginning...
It all started 4 years ago. I was bored on Tumblr and I found out about this website called NaNoWriMo. I clicked on a link and soon found myself signing up for an account on this website. NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month, this means that the people who create an account pledge to write a novel of at least 50k words throughout the month, and it so turns out that this month is November. I decided to write a story and I successfully wrote it. It was one of the biggest challenges I've ever done in terms of writing but it kept me on the right path and it made me realize that what I really want to do is write stories.
Going back to the present, I was looking through my inbox when I found an email telling me that this year's NaNoWriMo's signing up period is almost over. I didn't have to think for long before making up my mind. I followed the link that made me create the story that I am going to write about this year.
After much consideration, I have decided to follow the LGBT theme and created a gay couple and a plot for them. I am excited to see how this will turn out. The month will be difficult, there will be lots of ups and downs in which I will want to quit the whole project, mostly due to university work. But if I made it through once when I was in high school and having to study for tests, I should be alright this time as well.
I know that even if I don't finish this on time, I will have tried my best and it will keep me motivated to complete the challenge again. Through it all, I know Karolina will support me and remind me to write 1666 words every day to meet the 50k word target.
I will keep you updated on how this challenge goes. Let me know if you want to know more about this story I am going to start writing on November 1st.
