This is The End

Hi. As we both know by now, it is clear I am very bad at writing new posts on here as frequently as I hoped. However, I have reached the end of an Era. I am graduating next week and so the purpose of this blog is about to end. I have been as truthful as I could and gave as much advice as I ever could to anyone joining the university experience. I did not have an easy time throughout these last few months. It finally became clear how difficult it is to be finishing university, to try to understand what I want to be doing for the rest of my life, but here we are now. I went from nearly failing this year to writing my dissertation at the library up until late late at night. I was absolutely grateful for my friends who helped me finish it and I could have never asked for better friends than the ones I gained while at university and through work. So this is it. This is the end of this blog. I will definitely start a new blog that I will hopefully post more frequently while I try t...

January Tales

So this new year has started and I have been going a bit all over the place trying to figure out what is in fact going on. Let me tell you a bit about my January since the last post was just a random update on how things are in fact going. So as some of you might know, I spent the strike of twelve to the new year back home in Portugal. I spent 13 lovely days in there in which I saw family and friends even if just for a few hours. More often than not, I worked on my assessments and then I even spent some time with the dog. It was all good, considering that I was also going to doctor's appointments and getting my health back to the way it should be. Throughout the whole time, I spoke everyday to my lovely people Karolina, Beatriz and Jack. This was the first time I ever had 14 day streak with more than one person, in this case all three of them had it with me. Anyways, upon my return to the cold country that is the UK, I arranged meetings with all my friends and soon I was goin...

2017 Rewind!

The time has come. It is December 31 and I have been through a lot this year. Allow me to share the most important moments of the year - that you already know about, and some that I don't think you know. First of all, one year ago today me and Karolina went to Winter Wonderland. Today, we are both boarding flights, separately. Secondly, I am a whole lot different than I was last year. Earlier tonight, Karolina and I were talking about what we went through this year: The boys that came and went;  The jobs that we left;  The people we no longer speak to;  The money we spent; The movies we watched; The time we wasted; The list kept on going as we kept on remembering more and more. The best part of this year was this little book I kept.  I glued the cinema tickets we had to it and wrote down little things about those days. I have some tickets missing as I haven't found them in the midst of my things but I know that I will find them someday. I need ...

But Baby It's Cold Outside...

Hello everyone! Let me tell you everything that's been going on in my life. I found that the best way to do a presentation is to prepare yourself and rehearse it, you will definitely know what you will be talking about as long as you practice it. Obviously, I gained this bit of knowledge by doing the exact opposite. I worked on my presentation for about two and a half days, in which most days I was in fact at work or asleep. So, more realistically, for about 15 hours. More specifically, 15 hours before the presentation. Yep, I am not proud of it, but hey it got done. I managed to change every single aspect that I had planned for the presentation and ended up instead with a completely new presentation, in which the only thing that remained the same was the pictures on the slides because I literally decided to change the whole presentation about 20 minutes before it was my turn. Not saying that I did bad, I'm just trying to explain that I could have done a lot better. I am ...

End of November

Hey everyone, Just a quick sad update today. As you can probably tell, I did not have a chance to post anything throughout the last month. When it comes to NaNoWriMo, I didn't get to finish the story either. I am quite sad about not being able to write more than 9k words altogether but I did have a rough time writing up stuff. My computer died, I had to get a new one. Meanwhile, between Uni work and Work work, I've been a bit stuck trying to find a middle ground. Hopefully my luck will change this month and I will be able to write some more. And also, I will try to write some more in here as I will be free from classes soon. I am making it my mission to become a lot more active in here and maybe even create a side blog to publish short stories. We will see how that goes. In a bit.

Grantham 2k17

Hello all! Consistency is a thing still! Here I am for the first time this month, writing to tell you about some of the most recent events. Let's start with my birthday. A bit over a week ago, I was celebrating my birthday with my friends and accidentally dropped liquids on top of my MacBook. Sadly, that marked the death of said MacBook. I spent the last week either focusing on how much I would have to pay to repair it, or in Grantham (more to come about that in a bit!!). I got the news yesterday. Repairing my baby would be £1800 so I threw that option out of the window and instead focused on alternatives. I present to you the newest addition to the family, Charles Alexander II: My baby is going to be so well taken care of and will forever have a place in my heart. Rest in Peace Charles Alexander I.
